Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman, Kindeva Host Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Lexington Facility Acquisition

Kindeva, a global contract development and manufacturing organization, was joined by Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman and community leaders today to mark a key milestone in the company’s continued investment in Kentucky. A ribbon cutting ceremony held at Kindeva’s Lexington facility celebrated the site’s full integration into the organization’s global network and its growing role in advancing nasal drug delivery innovation.

Kindeva’s acquisition of Summit Biosciences is a great story of a homegrown company being recognized for its quality Kentucky-made products,” said Governor Beshear. “I look forward to working together on Kindeva’s future growth here in their New Kentucky Home.”

Commerce Lexington President and CEO, Bob Quick, said, “We are excited to celebrate this great success story for our region. Greater Lexington is an expanding biotech and life sciences hub because of companies like Kindeva, which has harnessed global manufacturing and R&D facilities to develop innovative solutions for the future of drug delivery. This expansion will enable Kindeva to leverage Summit Biosciences’ strong track record in the nasal spray market. We appreciate Kindeva’s confidence in and commitment to the Lexington region.”

The facility, which has supported nasal spray development for years, is now fully branded as a Kindeva site and continues to scale its capabilities. The Lexington team provides end-to-end support for nasal spray drug delivery, from formulation and filling to assembly, labeling, packaging, and analytical testing. The site supports both clinical and commercial scale cGMP production and serves as a hub for regulatory and quality excellence.

“This event represents a meaningful step in Kindeva’s growth journey,” said Milton Boyer, CEO of Kindeva. “We are proud to expand our presence in Kentucky whilst supporting the local community and continuing to deliver scientific expertise and reliable solutions to our partners and patients around the world.”

Lexington Site Vice President Simon Scholte said, “Since joining Kindeva in early 2024, I have had the privilege of seeing this team’s dedication and technical strength in action. This ribbon cutting highlights how far we have come in just a short time, and I am excited about where we are headed together as part of the broader Kindeva organization.”

Now fully aligned with Kindeva’s global operations, the Lexington facility strengthens the company’s ability to support biopharmaceutical partners with specialized drug delivery solutions across nasal, transdermal, injectable, and inhalation platforms.
