Here in Lexington, Kentucky, we place significant emphasis on all phases of economic development. As Commerce Lexington’s Economic Development team, we work collaboratively with many strategic partners: city and state governments; workforce and minority development organizations; officials in surrounding counties; representatives from our signature equine industry; and the University of Kentucky (our area’s largest single employer) as well as being an active and remarkable resource partner for our efforts.

Our seasoned team is well-versed in assisting companies looking to locate to Lexington for the first time, nurturing start-up enterprises (working with several funding resources in the process), as well as assisting established businesses of all sizes.

We are active participants in alliances with Louisville economic development organizations, Northern Kentucky Tri-Ed, and Kentucky’s Cabinet for Economic Development. We are also participants with the Bluegrass Alliance, a regional economic development team which is comprised of individuals from across this region who not only understand the needs of area business, but are also willing to help make the necessary connections to solve challenges of virtually any type.
